Open-source intelligence and cyber operations training for government teams

TechOps Academy trains government analysts and operators in OSINT and PAI research, signature reduction, dark web tradecraft, Linux and automation, and AI, with the eligibility, clearances, and delivery options a government customer needs.

Built for the government customer

Most of our catalog is US Government only by design. 10 of 18 courses are restricted to government personnel and sponsored contractors, taught by cleared practitioners who use the same tradecraft operationally. Open courses give mixed government and contractor teams a shared foundation before the restricted material.

Military cyber and information-environment training

Cyber operations today start with the information environment: who is publicly visible, how they can be found, and how an operator stays hidden. Our courses cover that ground end to end. Analysts learn to discover, synthesize, analyze, and report publicly available information; operators learn commercial signature reduction for people, devices, and personas; technical teams add Linux, Python, and AI-assisted tooling to automate the work.

Delivery that fits the unit

  • Open-enrollment sessions online, several times a year, mixing teams across agencies.
  • Dedicated iterations at our classrooms in Herndon, VA and Fayetteville, NC.
  • Mobile training teams at your installation or site, CONUS or OCONUS, in any environment that meets your security standards.
  • Contracted programs of instruction shaped to the mission set.

Questions government customers ask

Who is eligible for government-only courses?
US Government personnel. Contractors may attend government-only courses when sponsored and paid for by a US Government customer. Advanced Digital Discovery (AD²), Artificial Intelligence eXplorer (AI-XR), Collaborative Engineering for Novel Technology and Advanced Research (CENTAR), Commercial Signature Reduction (CSR), Dark Web Seminar, Investigational Python, OSINT Essentials with Linux, and Safe Traveler™ are open to all.
Can training be delivered on a military installation or at an agency site?
Yes. Mobile training teams of cleared instructors deliver on site, CONUS or OCONUS, in any environment that meets your security standards. Dedicated iterations also run at our classrooms in Herndon, VA and Fayetteville, NC and online.
Is the online training platform approved for government use?
Online instruction runs on a secure platform built on US Government-approved encrypted Office 365 applications that are Tier C compliant, covering ISO 27001, ISO 27018, EUMC, SOC 1 Type I and II, SOC 2 Type I and II, HIPAA, and FERPA.
Can a course be tailored to our mission?
Contracted courses give your organization direct input into the program of instruction: Intel, IO, IBM, targeting, due diligence, IDM, CI/HUMINT, civil reconnaissance, and PSYOP scenarios are all supported.
How do students register and receive certificates?
Registration, delivery, and certificates are handled in the Technical Operations Group course manager. Open-enrollment dates are published on the schedule; dedicated courses are set up after a quote is accepted.
